Sa Riera

Welcome letter

Welcome to what will be your private holiday home from today onwards. We’re sure you’ll spend some wonderful days here.

We would like to thank you for trusting us and please remember that we’re at your disposal for whatever you need.

Please read the information detailed below on the house and its services carefully, so that your arrival may be as comfortable as possible.

The entire Lloguers Picamal team wishes you wonderful and happy holidays!

House explanation

You have 2 sets of keys to the flat.

The flat is small but highly functional. Its kitchen is equipped with a fridge, dishwasher, and microwave. The fridge is always at number 1, but you can make it colder according to the amount of food in it. The washing machine is in the main bathroom. If you have any doubts about how it works, please ask us.

The windows of the flat have blinds. Next to these there are belts for lowering and raising them as needed.

Apart from the beds in the bedrooms, the dining room has 1 sofa bed (135 cm)

The sun rises over the sea, so in the terrace area you’ll have sun all morning until the afternoon. We recommend that if you sleep in the double bedroom and you don’t want to wake up with the sun on you, lower the blind to prevent it from disturbing you.

The chairs on the terraces have cushions. If it rains any day, we ask you to please collect them to prevent them from getting wet. That way you can use them again when it stops raining.

Watch out for the draught. If you have the bedroom and dining room windows open, they’ll create an air current that can cause the doors to close abruptly, especially the one from the dining room to the terrace which, being glass, is delicate. Be careful! You’ll see that there’s a sandbag for propping the door open to prevent it from slamming.

Be especially careful with waste food, both inside and outside the flat. It’s on a hillside and luckily, we still have insects and Mother Nature around us, and we don’t want you to be unpleasantly surprised by finding ants in the kitchen or another corner of the flat. They work very hard in the summer so they can live the rest of the year, so please always try to keep the kitchen clean and tidy, not to leave food outside the fridge and to keep it well closed, and to sweep the areas where you eat every day. That way you’ll avoid problems!

As a personal favour, we would like to ask you to be so kind as to water the plants and the tree on the terrace a little, approximately every second day, using the hose you’ll find there. Many thanks!

Free WiFi in Begur

Begur features free WiFi. This service is available in Esteve and Cruañas Square, Church Square, Town Square and Forgas Square.

The free WiFi ‘Begur.cat’ works at a speed of 6 MB (symmetrical) and can be accessed for a maximum of 2 hours a day. Simply connect to the free “Begur.cat” and click on “To click here online”.

Parking

We don’t have enough parking space for the building’s 4 apartments. We only have the right to 1 of the 2 spaces, and it’s reserved for the resident above who lives there all the year round. But don’t worry. 20 metres from the apartments you’ll find a sandy area where you can park your car at will. We’re sorry to say that there’s no shade in that area.

Waste

Begur has a door-to-door waste collection service. Inside the house you’ll find 3 differently coloured containers, each for a type of waste to recycle, and different types of rubbish are collected three days a week.

The only bins that must be taken outside to the street are the orange and grey ones. The fence outside the house has two hooks for fixing the bins to protect them from the wind.

Below are 3 links that explain how and when the collections are made.

Bus line service to the beaches

During the holiday season (in 2024, from 8 June to 15 September, inclusive), a convenient shuttle bus connects the beaches of Sa Riera, Fornells / Aiguablava and Sa Tuna with Begur.
The bus leaves from and arrives at Forgas Square. On the Sa Riera and Sa Tuna round trip, the bus also stops at the Font de Baix / Parc Arbreda Car Park. Therefore, to avoid the seasonal parking chaos in the beach car parks, it’s a good idea to leave the car in the official car parks at the entrance of Begur and take the bus directly to the beach to avoid problems.

Just go down from the house to the roundabout and you’ll come to the stop where you can catch the bus at the times shown in the link that I’ve provided.
